WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO HAVE MY CHILD PHOTOGRAPHED?
Simply fill in the registration form above and pay your $20 registration fee. Registration and payment are required 2 weeks prior to photo week. If you have more than one child a form and payment is required for each child to be photographed.

WHY DO I NEED TO PAY THE $20 REGISTRATION FEE?
This fee is for my time and ensures I am capturing only those children whose parents choose for their child’s photo taken. When you receive your online gallery you will also receive 1 photo download. If your child is absent the fee will be refunded, otherwise this fee is non refundable.

DO YOU CAPTURE SIBLING PHOTOS?
Yes I do! Where siblings attend the centre and are all registered for photos. Sibling photos will be captured for you where possible. At times when siblings are very young this can be hit or miss in the child care environment. I do my best to ensure I get a sibling photo for you. Sibling photos are generally taken when photographing the youngest child in the family. You will usually receive 3 plus to choose from. Please note that all packages are for individual children and the individual sibling photos cannot be combined into the one package.

HOW WILL I SEE THE PHOTOS?
You will receive a link to a private online gallery. Each child’s album is password protected. The gallery will have a shop attached where you can choose from different packages or individual photos, in both print and digital formats or a mix of both.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL YOU TAKE?
I aim for 10 per gallery sometimes it is a little more. For younger children, mainly babies it may be a little less, where possible I would aim for 10.

CAN I CHOOSE THE PHOTO DAY FOR MY CHILD?
On the registration form there are area to choose your preferred day. Every effort will be made to capture your child on your preferred day. At times, due to overwhelming numbers, this is not possible and your child’s photos will be moved to the next day they are at the service.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS UNWELL?
If your child is unwell I will move them to the next day that they are at the service. If your child does not return for the time I am there, your $20 registration fee will be refunded to you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS SHY OR DISTRESSED?
This does happen! I am a stranger with a big camera and some children are a little wary of me. For those children I engage their favourite educator to play with them and where necessary capture from a distance with a long lens. I may interact with them over a couple of days but not take their photo until they relax a little more with me being present. The last thing we want is for a child to be distressed. I have many years of experience in photographing children and have found that this method generally works. If for some reason I cannot capture your child you will receive a refund of your registration fee.

CAN I SEND SPECIAL CLOTHES FOR PHOTOS?
There are a couple of variables to this question. If you would like your child in “photo clothes” you may like to send them along in a separate bag and let an educator know. As we all know the educators do an amazing job and can be limited by ratio numbers so it is not always possible for them to change a child. Childcare and kinder photos are about the moments of play and your childs experiences whilst in care. Sometimes their favourite T-shirt will make the most precious memories for you to have to look back on.

When choosing clothes keep in mind your child will be playing while having their photo taken, as cute as a short little dress may look on your child it is not always practicable for climbing or riding a bike.

Also please be aware that if your childs photos are captured as you have asked on their preferred day and they were not in their preferred outfit, their photos cannot be retaken without payment of a $25 reshoot fee.
